Mini Bio

Following a degree in Aeronautical Engineering at Bristol university I began my career in Atkins as an Engineering consultant. I have always been drawn toward computing and have always tried to automate those tasks ahead of me. My love of engineering and computing came together at BCU (Birmingham City University) where I worked with Prof. Craig Chapman and developed skills in KBE (Knowledge Based Engineering). Whilst here I also learned an awful lot about small businesses and how they operate - as a technology transfer consultant I would daily work with small companies from across the West Midlands region. The skills developed in BCU opened the door to Rolls-Royce where I really enjoyed building systems for Engineering and Design Process automation. I setup Turtlestack Automation in early 2020 (just as the pandemic kicked off :-/) but have loved every moment of being my own boss and growing this small but successful company.

I have a wonderful wife Emma and three kids Edward (14), Douglas (12) and Matilda (7) and two annoying cats.
